BioPennsylvania native Lindsay Faith Rech was born in Philadelphia and has lived in the quiet suburb of Holland since she was nine. Lindsay studied theater and writing at Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, graduating with honors just five months before tying the knot. Secretly devoting time to a novel between the wedding and house-hunting, Lindsay found work as an assistant editor for a chain of local newsmagazines. She also wrote her own column for a weekly New Jersey paper. Her “secret novel,” LOSING IT, was eventually picked up by Red Dress Ink and released in October 2003. Her second novel, JOYRIDE, hit bookshelves one year later. In the spring of 2010, Lindsay's long-awaited third novel, IT STARTED WITH A DARE--her first venture into young adult fiction--will be released by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. The 30-year-old author has been profiled in WHO’S WHO IN AMERICA, WHO’S WHO OF AMERICAN WOMEN, "Writer's Digest," CONTEMPORARY AUTHORS, and WHO’S WHO OF EMERGING LEADERS. In addition to writing, Lindsay works as a proofreader for a nonprofit educational company. Married for seven years (and counting), she lives with her husband Scott and their one-year-old goldendoodle, Chauncey. The couple is expecting their first child in March. |
